Dear 2012,
We had a rocky start, with some crazy adventures and great memories: celebrating my 21st, and then McKenzy’s. There were lots of late nights followed by mornings that seemed to come far too early. I traveled alone for the first time, and have become far too comfortable with it now (after almost a dozen plane trips). I was all over to see amazing concerts. My little one has joined the 21’s, and my big is engaged. Long drives (sometimes without purpose,) one crazy bachelorette party, a beautiful wedding, family dinners for the holidays (or just because,) congratulations for many other engagements, babies coming into the world, and babies growing up, new roommates, and leaving Scolari’s; this year has been busy. Aside from four jobs, crazy work hours, eighteen credits in the spring and fall, plus nine more last summer, I can say that I have truly loved this year. Through the ups and downs, it has been one of the best. Lessons have been learned, battles won, and battles lost, group projects that are completed last minute, homework that is forgotten, and reading that is put off until someday never. I’ve been through my best and worst. I have loved, and sometimes felt lost.
I traveled: went to DisneyWorld and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Las Vegas, and California (a bunch). Highlight of the year (and you thought I might forget) would be dating my best friend. Silly jokes, sharing cars, and roommate wars turned into something wonderful. Through the ups and downs, I wouldn’t trade a second for the world. I have the most wonderful other half.
2013 has some serious shoes to fill, but it’s shaping up to be another good one.
Love,
Rachel

One of my little girls made me a bracelet. I have to choose between upside down or backwards. 💛 (Taken with Instagram)
Let’s pretend for five seconds that I can draw and this is hilarious
I am so in love with you, it hurts. In the best way possible. I would wait ten years to be with you if I had to… You just make me so happy. Every moment I spend with you is effortless.

Are you a doctor on call? Didn’t think so. No texting, twittering, or tumblring during couple time.
This is all I ask for.
To see where life takes us. I know the journey won’t be easy, and it won’t be rainbows and daisies the entire time. We have some serious obstacles ahead of us, but what is life without a few hoops to jump through? It’ll keep us on our toes, and who knows what the future holds? I’m excited to see!
I could tell everyone that I’m super happy and why I’m happy and that we’re finally together, but it would complicate way too many things at this point in the game.
Love love love.

SCREW WHOEVER MADE TODAY’S PLAN
Luckily, my roommate can always make me feel better. Can’t wait to get out of this dreadful situation and go to California tomorrow. A’s Game, beer and warmth.
Which one works better?
Anyone who knows anything would be extremely helpful. I’m trying to decide which one to try
